Staffed mainly by Brazilians, most of whom are missionaries or volunteers, ARCA’s aim is to share the love of Jesus with children at risk in their family situations and the many children and young people who live on the streets of Belém. It seeks to offer social and educational care and reintegration to these vulnerable youngsters, who are exposed to many risks and abuse as they try to survive on the streets. Mo’s main role with ARCA is that of treasurer, but she spends time with children and young people on the streets, in ARCA’s residential home and in ARCA’s day centre.
