"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" (Matthew 28:19)
As part of our calling to advance the church of God throughout the world, we support the following missionary organisations:

Maureen (Mo) Sharratt is one of our church members working in Belém, Brazil, as part of a team from UFM Worldwide supporting ARCA, a Christian project.  ARCA aims to share the love of Jesus with the many street children and children at risk in Belém, seeking to meet their needs physically, emotionally and spiritually.  Mo has been working there since 2004, and in 2006 she took over as the ARCA treasurer.

In 2007 a short term project brought together supporters of the UFM missionaries working with ARCA.  The aim was to provide additional strategic support to enable ARCA to become financially self-sufficient, and to pave the way for Brazilians to take on more responsibility in the future.  The initiative was administered jointly by Hockliffe Street Baptist Church and UFM Worldwide.  The special fund closed at the end of 2007.  For details of how the money raised has been used, and for information on how to support ARCA during 2008, please  <CLICK HERE>.

We also support church members John Shortt, working with EurECA, the European Educators Christian Association, helping Christians in teaching to think about how they can witness within their educational systems, and Tom Conquest, working for the Christian People's Alliance as a political assistant to the Local Councillors in the borough of Newham, East London. Tom also worships at Bonny Downs Baptist Church where he is a member of the youth team.

Universities & Colleges Christian Fellowship  UCCF is an organisation set up to support Christian students in Universities and Colleges of Further Education. As a church, we support Naomi Skull, one of the UCCF staff members with responsibility for student work in the East Central region of England. She is based in North London, and works in the universities and colleges in Hatfield, Bedford, Luton, Cranfield and Silsoe.

Mission Aviation Fellowship  MAF's main aim is to help mission agencies in the practical, day-to-day work of moving people and supplies, with the ultimate aim of bringing the good news of Jesus Christ to the unreached Baptist Missionary Society  Starting from July 2003 we have been linked with Ian and Andrea Froment who, together with their two young children James and Carolyn, work in Malaga, Spain, producing Christian radio and TV programmes for transmission to North Africa.
Tearfund is an evangelical Christian relief and development charity working through partner organisations in countries throughout the world to bring help and hope to those in need. We support Tearfund through Geoff and Rachel Conquest, who are their local representatives. The church also gets involved in fundraising for general relief work, and in response to specific disasters.
Community Action Romania   CAR is a local charity that supports a church in Carand, Romania, which reaches out to the community not only spiritually but practically. Several of our church members provide practical support to this charity, including going to Romania to work with the church and the community. In 2006 Sarah, daughter of church members Roger & Lynn Edwards, married Danny Ispas, son of a Romanian pastor, and they have moved to Romania to establish a work amongst street children. Twinning Relationship  Hockliffe Street Baptist Church is twinned with Haifa Baptist Church in northern Israel. This mainly Arab congregation is led by Revd. Philip Saa'd, a leading evangelical among Palestinians as well as Israeli Arabs. Philip regularly visits Britain to represent and speak out for this ancient Christian and Arab community.
